QMA operates on a self help system, and to run our
competitions successfully each week, we need the help of members to
set up equipment and act as officials for the various events. Each
member is rostered to help out only once during the season. This year,
the roster has been compiled according to postcodes rather than alphabetically,
so perhaps car-pooling might be an option for some if transport is
a problem.
It is very important that we each fulfill our responsibilities
by turning up on our rostered day, and not planning to compete that
day. We all know how frustrating it is to compete in an event where
we have to officiate ourselves, or have only a few runners in our heat
because we don’t have enough timekeepers.
ROSTERS FOR JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH 2008
Please check the roster lists below for our January
to March competition meets.
If your name is listed, please write your roster day
into your diary or on your electronic calendar right away. You will
be sent a reminder letter closer to your day.
On your rostered day, please be prepared to arrive at the track 1
hour before competition starts to assist with setting up of equipment,
etc. Please report to your Team Leader or Wayne Spalding (equipment
Officer).Your Team Leader will allocate duties during the morning
or evening competition.
If you know you will not be available on your rostered day, please
do one of the following:
1. Try to arrange to swap with someone from another
day and let Irene know who you are swapping with.
2. OR contact Irene (please phone in evenings or
email me) ASAP so we can arrange for someone to replace you. You will
then be rostered to a different day.

Final Note:
If you know someone who would be interested in becoming
a volunteer helper or official, please bring them along and introduce
them to the Team Leader for the day or one of the Committee Members.
They will be welcomed with open arms. |
